Hello From Spain

Hi All,

My name is Dave Watson and I live in the very small village of Galera which is in Andalucia Spain. We are in the mountains at about 3000ft, very few artificial lights around and very dark skies. We, my wife and I and our 4 poodles, live in a cave house........well its different!!

Decided to take astrophotography up after I retired, been threatening to do it all my life but never had the time, I think you know what I mean. Busy building an observatory, which is nearly finished, to house a Celestron C8 SCT on a CG-5 mount, which I am hoping to replace in the forseable future, all on an 8" concrete pier.

Hi Dave, welcome to SGL. Well that's certainly an interesting sounding setup - a cave with an observatory. It would be great to see some pictures posted when it's finished.

There are some images on QDigital Astrophotography and a bit about the cave as well. The images are well out of date, my wife took some more yesterday which I will put up over the weekend., and the website is work in progress as well.
