Definitely your local councillors but copy your paper letter to the Chief Executive of the council.

Just convenience, if you think that you will use the zoom alongside 2" inch EPS then it is probably worth fitting. Mark

Both those dates are ..... Possible. I might get a bit jealous with all the talk of star parties though. Lol -

Thanks for the info, I shall make the seller an offer. -
Hi There. Love what you've done to the place! Anyway, could I have some feedback on the above EP - I am after something with a lower magnification to complement my 8-24 zoom, and this one has cropped up in the past month on the buy and sell. Any good? Regards Mark

If you can afford Auto I would definitely recommend it, but if funds are tight you will be happy with a manual. There is a bit of weight in these 300's.... -

Lovely, something very engimatic about it - definitely a keeper!

Sorry to butt in, but I would like to say how much I take my hat off to people who attempt this kind of stuff. I am pretty sure I would get nowhere near as far as the OP as I would need help at every step. Good luck with it all. Mark

I do wonder how much of the lighting would have to be switched off for it to even match the midlands (and trust me, I don't live in a "dark" area). Sympathies. Mark

True, but there was something in "Derbyshire First" where Derbyshire County Council said that they are in the early stages of considering it. Fingers crossed. Mark

How to Collimate a Hotech?
UTMonkey replied to OzDave's topic in Discussions - Scopes / Whole setups
Sorry to butt in, I bought a baader collimator - surely that doesn't need collimating does it ? -
Hi All, Now that I am becoming more familiar with my scope and the field of views from both the finder scope and eyepiece I am finding that I could do with a star chart which matches the views from my scope. I have heard the SkyAtlas 2000.0 mentioned more than once on the forum and wondered if it might be more useful than the pocket book guides. What do you think? Regards Mark

Really, I had no idea of this - this isn't a wind up?

Give me an open cluster every time.......

I am fairly sure that my scope is collimated ok (the stars do look like stars), perhaps my description of my experience is worse than it actually is. I am really wanting to meet up with some local astronomers just to compare the views. Anyone in Chesterfield fancy coming over for a pint and a squint through my telescope? Regards Mark -
Lovely scope, have you decided where your going to keep it?
