Cut a hole in the roof and you have an observatory!

Might buy one for that eh!

Didn't I read somewhere that some of you guys use toilet tents to put up around the scope when you go to sleep?

New Gelert Green Brook Shower, Utility or Toilet Tent (TEN276) - Surplus and Outdoors

Regards

Chris

that's what I'm going to be going.

Hi The Thing,

Was not for one minute suggesting this was the one to buy, in fact I did not even look at the product apart from searching for a toilet tent.

But if there is an Argos one that costs less, by all means let us all know about it. You never know I might buy one to put alongside my RV as long as nobody uses it as a toilet :)

Best regards

Chris

Hi Kev,

Ah, even though I was not looking at buying a tent I know which one I would buy and it is not the smaller lightweight Argos one!!

However back to my original question which a couple have answered. Is that the sort of thing you guys and gals use to cover up the scope over night when at a star party?

Best regards

Chris: I would favour the Gelert version as well

There's not much in it, it seems. Frustratingly, Gelert don't give the hydrostatic head figures for their's but it's bound to be comprable to the Argos one at 1000mm. The Gelert one is 30cm a side bigger though, which would seem to be better vale as it's only about £3 more expensive.

You've converted me to the Gelert!

I've just sprayed these spreader plates I've made for my NEQ6 Pro mount with Halford Glow-in-the-dark paint so that the corners of my set up are clearly defined. Hopefully it will avoid any one AND me kicking the tripod. :glasses1:

Perhaps we should spray some glow in the dark paint arrows to point at the toilets and more importantly the tea tent :)
