Another hello from County Durham

Hi guys and gals, I'm Andrew (or Drew). I've been a keen armchair astronomer for many years, I first "caught the bug" after visiting the Kennedy Space center when i was about 12. Since then I must have seen every program on space/astronomy on the documentary channels at least twice(most of the more).

I bought a celestron 114gt of ebay about a week ago and saw Jupiter and the four Galilean moons, and (a very small faint) Andromeda galaxy. So Ive ordered a Skywatcher Explorer 200p with the intention of doing some astrophotography.

Ive been a non-posting member of SGL for a few weeks now, so i thought I'd better introduce myself.

Nice choice of scope - get a good widefield 2" eyepiece for it - maybe 30mm-40mm Uwan or Swan - Andromeda will be terrific.
