User Ranks and post counts

This ranking system ( my self being a 'Vacuum' ) reminds me of my military Basic Training. During training we had no stripes, they called it being 'a slick sleeve' and a 'Pinger' - as one who bouncing around, unaware of where they're at, or where they're going. I am LOL at  all the comments.

Thanks,

Lyle

I would like to see a histogram plotted of Post count rank vs. number of members with that rank.

:happy7:

Not exactly what your after an might not work but...

https://stargazerslounge.com/search/?type=core_members&group%5B4%5D=1&group%5B8%5D=1&group%5B9%5D=1&group%5B7%5D=1&group%5B6%5D=1&group%5B3%5D=1&sortby=member_posts&sortdirection=desc&page=1

And guess what it didn't...

But if you go the link and then sort by post count you will get a list...

And has anyone got a like-to-post ratio of more than unity?

Mine is well below, presently 1042 likes divided by 3578 posts to give a measly 0.29. Anyone else want to play?

Mine's 0.66.  It's usual for it to drop off the further "in" you are.

A starter can have one post and 3 likes - that's a 3.00  Not uncommon.  But short-lived!

I did spot a case where a longer-standing member had a ratio just above one and I remarked on this simply because my analytical eye detected the fact.

So yes, @acey - it would be interesting to see who "wants to play" and can claim the highest LPR (>1), without any suggestion of competition or immodesty of course!

Doug.

Silly game ?

I found a contender (who will remain unnamed)  for the lowest with 0.001 LPR ??

Perhaps "Like:Post Ratio" could be categorised logarithmically rather than linearly. For example:

10: Super-particle (probably non-existent: an average of 10 likes for every post!)

1: Higgs (impressive but rarely seen, and only likely to exist for a short time)

0.1: WIMP (weakly interacting massive poster, pretty average)

0.01: Neutrino (abundant but too often ignored)

0.001: Dark matter (possibly ubiquitous and best left unnamed)
