First image through my new dob

Thanks to the cloud gods, got a good couple of hours to break in the new 8"dob tonight.

Decided to try a picture using my Nikon 5400 afocal through a 40mm eyepiece.

Turned out well and the views through the dob of the moon were awesome :shock: 8)

Now that is good for afocal. I am assuming that you used some kind of camera holding bracket? If its handheld you are either really lucky or very good at this. One to keep for definite.
