Hi All

Boy was this a tricky shot....

Taken in terrible seeing and planet unfreindly haze.

8" SCT @ a low f20 to combat seeing.

Sum of two exposures, The question is for those with good

eyesite -Are they moons?

If so any idea?

Thanks for looking

Ed

Well done Ed, you must be pleased catching those moons. I noticed that you have the date on your image as the 25th. Should this be the 24th as this matches the image in Starry Night?

The upper most object may just be a background star of mag +13.65

Yeah sorry about the date thing David, The error was converting BST to UT if you know what i mean.

Thanks all of you for helping so far and here is a tidier version.

I had a feeling the uppermost one would be a HIP star.

Hi Kev

There are a few factors that limit the shot,

Mainly the seeing and haze for something so faint.

But even stretching the curves on the long exp shot

fail to reveal it.

I will try and shoot it again soon but when we get improved conditions

is anyones guess.
