iPhone sun - 14th April 2015

I managed a few brief views of the sun today, very impressive detail when the seeing calmed momentarily and the high haze shifted. This is just a handheld snap down one side of the Binoviewer, and only shows a small fraction of the visual detail.

Probably best looked at from a distance.....on a small screen.....with your eyes closed ??

I'm sure there is potential for better images, the visual views are so much better there has to be a way of getting it captured with the phone. I've just got a new bracket which should take the iPhone 6 Plus so will give that a go.

Might also be possible to take a video and stack that? Wish someone would produce a phone app to stack video ??

Really nice ! would it be worth trying a video, then seeing if PIPP could deal with it and try stacking ?
