The Sun 25 August 2015 white light

I took over 550 single frames to get this today - I then manually rejected over 400 of them as they had more or less clouds all over them - the wind was strong so clouds kept blowing past the Sun and I only got 2-3 "clean" frames in each gap between them!!  Anyway - the final stack was 45 frames from 139  in PIPP/Registax 5.  Then PS for finishing.

The skies cleared a little bit later on and I was able to get a few 3000 frame .avi's (at 100+fps so about 30seconds to get each one) with a 2.5x Powermate for the rather ropey close-up of AR2403:

What scope did you use to take it? Which camera has such a fast frame rate?

Sun.  Hmmm, yeah.  I remember seeing that once.  I think I was probably on holiday...

The close-up of AR2403 looks excellent.

The scope was an ED120 APO (although my Evostar 120 Achromat gives as good an image!) The camera an ASI120MM mono camera.  Shutter 2.5ms and a ROI of 640x480 which allows a frame rate of around 100-120 fps with a USB2 connection (I don't have a USB3 or it should be quite a bit faster!!)
