Hi
I would like to say it's a lovely sunny day but no it's wet, cold damp and windy here in the south west midlands. No chance of any star gazing tonight very thick cloud and heavy rain. Astronomy has always been one of those hobbies I would like to get into. I am into computers, photography and satellite communications (raw news feed hunter). I am currently researching my options as to what to purchase. I read threads saying what to get for starters but in my opinion buying something cheap will probably in the long run work out expensive. I am looking at getting Sky watcher Explorer 200PDS HEQ5 Pro GOTO system.
Guess I will be asking many questions in the forum in the future.

200PDS/HEQ5 is a great setup both for visual and for deep space imaging.  It's not small though, so don't be shocked when it arrives in boxes big enough to live in
