Greetings from Istanbul

Hey all.

I am a week-old proud owner of a second hand (but in mint condition!) lovely Celestron EQ130 (f:650mm, 1/5). I'll be observing from heavily light polluted Istanbul city center most of the time. I've observed the Moon, Saturn, Mars, Pleidas, Jupiter, Venus and cought more than a dozen of photons of M31 core so far! Will be willing to learn from and contribute to lovely SGL society.

Welcome!  Istanbul is a lovely city but as you say very lit up during the night.  If you go some kilometers outside though, I'm sure you'll have lovely clear skies!
