This is another image from my recent trip to Fuerteventura. I managed more imaging in one week there than I have in 8 months here in the UK. They had forecast cloud every night barring one but it was clear almost every night (total opposite to the UK).

Modified Canon 1100D with Canon 500mm f/4 L IS lens @ ISO1600.

AstroTrac TT320 Mount.

25x 60 second lights

20x Darks

20x Flats

20x Bias

Wow, that's great. I'm hoping to take my astrotrac to La Palma towards the end of the year.

Out of curiosity how did you travel with your kit?

Thanks Lee, I crammed most into my hand luggage...though I did put my tripod in the check-in luggage. The airline I flew with (Monarch) allowed 10Kg hand luggage and I used every single bit of it.

Cheers mate, I think I'll be doing the same. Better check the hand luggage allowance.

WOW! fantastic image. It's interesting to see how many people are using the Astro Track system at the moment... and with results like this it's hardly difficult to see why!

Thanks for the comments one and all, really very much appreciated :icon_salut:

Very nice. Great shades of red in there.

Whereabouts did you go to do your imaging? I quite fancy heading out there for a session

This was just in Costa Caleta/Caleta de Fuste, which is a sunny "tourist" destination mainly for the OH. There was an LP problem with 14 great big sodium floodlights but I managed to get as far away from them as I could (on foot). Hiring a car would get you very dark skies, but be warned it is a bit breezy there. Not sure about the other islands in the Canaries, but way better than Leeds :p.
