hello to everyone, i have just joined your forum having browsed around for the last few weeks. im fairley new to star gazing having been bought a tasco telescope some years back as a present. this has recently been retrieved from the loft & reassembled. i know tasco telescopes have a lot of bad press but when i first had the scope i managed to see saturn & its rings, i want to gain experience using this scope before i buy a better scope, so i look forward to asking many questions regarding eye piece selection etc to get the most out of my present scope.

Hi welcome along, can suggest checking us out over at eastmidlands stargazers. Come along see some other types of kit and say hello.

In the mean time get studying the night sky "left turn at orion" is a good book to start you of and also some free software called stellarium.
