Hi all,

Was pointed in your direction by my Dad who has been a member here for a while as a great source of info for a newbie.

I have a Skywatcher 130M that has now been upgraded to an EQ5 mount with twin motor drive, thanks to my dad moving upto an EQ6! Cheers!

Managed to get the 130M down to the Falklands last year and had a few great nights viewing the southern skies, just wish the wind dropped a bit more so I could have got some shots. Unfortunatly with the camera on the focuser and a good breeze all I got was lots of blur.

Now I'm back and sorted at Fairford just waiting for some good nights to get the setup out and enjoy the skies again, quite a nice dark sky site here considering how close I am to Swindon. Looking at a few upgrades and possibly a new scope soon, espically with the International astronomy show coming up in a month.

Cheers and happy viewing.

Matt

Chipping Norton is only about half hour away from me, so is doable. Espically if there is something special happening in the sky, typically just as I'm getting settled here then a security light goes off or a car drives past!

Cheers
