new member and to the hobby

hi all my name is william or wullie i am from paisley.

i am just new to the hobby, i have spent a lot of hours watching videos and reading about dslr camers and what i want to achieve in this hobby is that

night sky photography and time lapse.

i got my first dslr camera 2 day's ago and had a play about with it last night up in the gleniffer braes untill the clouds started coming over

Hello William and welcome to SGL!! I hope you hve fun with your new camera. if you have dark skies then you should be able to get some amazing pictures just by putting it on a tripod (or solid base) and taking some star trail type exposures.

i use a sony a200 with f3.5-5.6 18/70 sony lens i know not the best lens to use once i have got some more cash will upgrade to better lens

i also have intervalometer and a good tripod so have a good start .

ya cant wait till the sky's get clear again so can spend more time out, last knight only got half an hour
