Just taken delivery of my first telescope for 30 years and wanted to say thanks to this forum for being such a rich source of information while I was researching my purchase. Having read many threads and discussions I finally decided on:

Skywatcher 200p on an EQ5

Hope you approve!

Amazing views of Moon and Saturn two nights ago, now just can't wait for the next clear night!

Thanks for all the advice, I am sure I will need plenty over the next few years

Thank you for such a warm welcome! This really is a great forum.

Hi Mister T welcome to SGL, if you havnt already install Stellarium to your PC and get hold of a copy of Turn left at Orion, enjoy.

I have downloaded Stellarium but unfortunately it won't run at the moment on my laptop. I'm running 64 bit windows 7 and have tried the various changes to settings highlighted previously on SGL but as yet no joy. No doubt i will just have to try fiddling with different compatibility settings until I hit in the ones that work.

Thanks for the advice though
