New, from Wiltshire

Hello everyone, just thought I'd say Hi, I am new to SGL and astronomy and though I have some questions I think I have found the answers already. I was going to ask if I had upto £300 to spend on a scope and I didn't want to do photography and I wanted to look at planets and DSO's what should I go for? but from other posts I think the answer is the Skyliner 200p Dob, I know it is big, I have the space and I'm 6'4"+. Any other suggestions would be very welcome. Many thanks.
