I bought a 10" Skywatcher dob advertised like that on e.bay a few years back. I took a chance and made a bid - got it for £100 and it was in mint condition

I agree that it's a poor listing but it will put other potential bidders off as well and you can ask some questions before committing.

It's one of them new cloud penetrating Dob's, they go up for mile's, you cant get the whole tube in the frame unless your 15 kilometre's away on a rather large hill :p .

And even then you'd not be able to see it for the cloud :)

If it's a 6" Skywatcher in reasonable condition, the new price from FLO is what £200? Is not featured on the new adverts for Dobs from Skywatcher, so may have been discontinued? Is worth taking a punt on?

Maybe someone has put in a max bid of say £50 and so ebay has upped it by the amount needed to outbid the earlier highest bidder.

I would suspect that there is only one interested person and the other person bidding is fake to increase the price. Got to be worth punt at £50 :)

Not sure, I bid £50 for it, but will let it go now as it would be my winter scope (less prone to dewing up than the 5SE) and there'll be more. I asked the seller what aperture it was and what state the mirrors were in and his rely was "hi there yea 6inch tube d=150mm f=1200mm yea mirrors are in good condition"...

Rubbish photo, minimal description, "cash on collection please" despite the eBay system listing Paypal, one of the major bidders having zero feedback? Surely I can't be the only person who finds this smells like stolen.
