Hello all.

My name is Graeme. I’ve been lurking here for a while so I thought it was about time I introduced myself!

I’ve had a 114mm Newtonian on an EQ mount for a couple of years but decided to upgrade. I posted recently about the 200mm dobsoniums to find out a bit more about them. My research stirred up a bad case of TLS (Telescope Lust Syndrome) and I had to up the budget to the price of a 200mm auto collapsible dob. Unfortunately they’re no longer available. So as Daniel-K advised in a post “forget the auto tracking and get a 10inch”, I did!

It’s been cloudy since it was delivered! But it’s assembled and ready to go and it’s a beast!

HI Graeme and welcome to the forum. I don't think you are going to regret purchasing that size of scope and I think you might just notice that the view is a little different to that given to you by the 114mm scope!:):D

Hi Graeme and welcome to the Lounge. Bet you'll have some great views with the new scope...you must have inadvertantly disturbed the invisible box of clouds that come free with every new scope though - nothing but cloud and rain here too!
