L8-Nite

Recommended Posts

Hello, :)

I'm Mike, also to be known as "L8-Nite" here. I returned to the hobby a couple of years ago upon retiring, and have been catching up on the technology and developments in Astronomy and current equipment. Both my Wife and I are members of the Cardiff Astronomical Society. We have a couple of old scopes from the 1960s and a couple of modern ones.

As I intend to drive up for a visit, we hope to meet some of you at SGL7. I'm also looking forward to parcitipiating here on the Forum, and contributing when I can.

Cheers, and clear skies.

.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. :)

Both of the older scopes we have are from about 1966. The 114mm reflector is a Pencrest model 1008 f/7.8 and the 76mm refractor is a Sears model 6339-A f/15.7 which has the Royal Astro logo.

Here are a couple of photos.
