Hey everyone.

I've enjoyed astronomy ever since I was fisrt taught about/shown Orion by my grandad as a child, and have decided to make it a proper hobby from now on. I know a little bit about the subject but have been a bit on/off for many years.

I'm planning to start out for a couple of months, just using my eyes, and familiarising myself with constellations, before looking into getting a decent pair or binoculars.

Looking forward to learning as much as possible :(

Hi and welcome to the forum. No rush with astronomy as the stars aren't going anywhere fast. Better to take your time and read up on the subject from here using the forum in general and the search facility above that details past responses to specifics. A pair of binoculars might your first purchase and allows you pick out those more distant stars.

Clear skies

James
