mallorcasaint
I'm desperate to get the new rig out and try my first attempt at DSI'ing! Hope I can get a decent alignment. Sky looks clear here from around 9pm so hopefully it will be ok.

David Smith
Would really like to be out tonight, no new kit just wanna get out there! However forecast where I am is 50 / 50 at best and wind is going to be an issue whatever happens. If it clears I will go out and see if the scope can cope with the breeze!David
Rickjb39
met office says partly cloudy for me so going to take the gamble and say im going out tonight too haha
JB80
Feels like it's been cloudy for months here, theres no danger of heading out in the forseeable future either. That's fine by me though at the moment, I'm sick, the kids are sick, the in-laws are coming tomorrow and the place is a shambles. I'd happily see all this cloud while I'm under the weather() and let it clear up next week.

Pug
Clear skies and the inlaws for the evening. If that's not a good reason for disappearing to the back garden I'd like to know of better one!
PreludeToADream
Forecast to be clear tonight so hopefully I'll be able to try out the new 'scope! Don't feel brilliant but it's been cloudy for what feels like eternity so I've got to take this opportunity.
Ian123
Is cloud free for the time being but Met Office has given severe wind warnings in my area and i can tell why Blowing an absolute gale, no chance of viewing tonight.

brantuk
Dead clear here but I can see cloud looming in the west - see what it's like in half an hour.
Wildwood
Clear here but winds are gusting. Desperate to get out but the winds may just prove too strong.
Black Knight
Yeah, clear here too, but very blowy. Frustrating to say the least.Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Dunkster
Serious question - when to draw the line with the wind? It's clear here but fairly breezy. Not sure whether to head out for a peek at Orion later or settle down with a bottle of wine
StuW
Managed about 15 mins in the 20mph gusts before tea with the ED80 on Jupiter (testing new Baader adapter rings with Vid Cam). I was going to continue after I'd had something to eat, but it started raining as I walked in the back door so I had to pack up quick... not stopped raining since
jgs001
It's clear here but very blowy and whilst I'm itching to try the new lens, my back aches so I'm gonna stay in and have a beer instead.
PreludeToADream
I went out for a couple of hours but the wind was getting ridiculous so I've settled on the sofa to watch Top Gear instead. New scope is a dream though. Sent using Tapatalk
Tyr
I've just come in, have been out for an hour trying out my new LP filter and the TAL barlow I got just before Christmas. It was pretty breezy, but still managed to get some steadyish moments at 200x magnification on Jupiter.I've left the scope on the mount ready to take back out later on for a look at Orion weather still permitting.Clear skys and windbreaks everyone Tyredit grammar grammar grammar oh dear
jkwhinfrey
It's relatively clear here at the moment, but as noted by others, there's a lot of wind. I've decided to try out my new bank chair and binoculars and leave the scope inside tonight.
dpugh
Was supposed to be clear here tonight. But it has rained Earlier on, there was clear skies forecast for Sunday, but now has changed to rain. So doesn't look like I will be out for the next 5 nights.I can see why I kept on reading you need patience in hobby. Being a noob and just starting to get used to things. I just want to get outside.
