Hi all

Been quite a while since I've posted here, but I haven't really had anything worth posting, what with the carp weather and seeing.

Anyway, heres a Saturn image from 3rd Feb that I ran through Image Analyzer software. I think it has sharpened it up a bit and reduced the noise. If you don't have this software I would recommend it. It is a free download.

Breathtaking image :shock:. I have just downloaded that software and am going to have a play. Would be an amazing piece of software if it could turn my images in to somehting like yours

I have attached the pre-image analyser image for comparison.

The filter I used for this Saturn is the Adaptive/smooth sharpen filter, which I think may be very useful. Also the adaptive noise reduction and median filters are worth looking at, though I don't think the median filter is implemented as well as the one in Photoshop.

I haven't been able to find a UK dealer for Lumenera cameras, I bought mine second hand. The European supplier is Framos

Now I think of it SCS Astro are selling the Lu075, but not the rest of the cameras.

Another great shot Nick. Will have a look at the software. ImagesPlus also has some fantastic adaptive filters and point spread function stuff. So much more still to learn!
