  5. Hi i got upgraded bolts from 365 astronomy they are made to look the same as the standard bolt but much higher grade material as i change locations a lot i have to adjust altitude a lot and these bolts are great If they dont show them on 365 call Zoltan he will get them in for you they are not dear
  6. If levelling is not important why does the manual tell you to level the mount using a spirit level . I use the one in your first photo what they call a boat level due to its shape I would had throught by not levelling the mount you will introduce cone error in the tracking of an objet The goto was not spot on with my HEQ5 now i use a cross hair eyepiece and 3 star alignment its very close i also found clear PAE and retrain the PAE makes it even better Your goto may have a PAE that can be cleared and retrain which may help a lot
  7. I have the 6mm TMB dont use it a lot but is really good on a good night
  8. Is it dewing up because the air is being blown into the camera so sensor face is getting very cold . Would it do this if the air was being pulled from inside to outside may be sensor would not get as cold so the battle begins Heat one side cool the other ???
  9. Hi i use the celestron power tank and you can use the usb and not the telescope out put or the telescope out and not usb I also use a powerpack it fits in my pocket and has a large amp hour rate https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/slredirect/picassoRedirect.html/ref=pa_sp_phone_search_atf_aps_sr_pg1_1?ie=UTF8&adId=A011655815U4ZWTX2NMX2&url=%2FStarter-Ultra-Safe-Battery-Charger-Portable%2Fdp%2FB088K5D88K%2Fref%3Dmp_s_a_1_1_sspa%3Fdchild%3D1%26keywords%3D12%2Bvolt%2Bpower%2Bpack%26qid%3D1602341522%26sr%3D8-1-spons%26psc%3D1&qualifier=1602341522&id=3125572137240767&widgetName=sp_phone_search_atf All i did was remove crocodile clips and fitted a plug for my mirror fan and later on i will make a lead for a dew heater when i get it
  10. Hi you can get a free app called open camera this gives you loads of options
  11. I only have 2 Orion optics uk VX8L had to upgrades some parts but its a really nice scope Bresser messier 127 refractor really nice scope still need to upgrades parts of it Each scope does it job but no scope will do lots of different jobs well so you need to get a scope to do what you want it to do all within your budget I did have a cheap celestron scope and it was just that cheap had it weeks then upgraded it to a better quality one
  12. May be due to mars being harder to see , been trying for weeks i hope to night may be better seeing
  13. You want to try living near an airport when 737 gets in the way lol

  15. Hi sorry i could not help still learning this hobby
  16. Hi a lot of the goto systems have PAE i use synscan i found if you clear its memory then do 3 star alignment if the first target after alginment is off i press esc then press and hold esc it asks me to centre target which i do then press enter it stores it in PAE the next target is spot on your goto may have same sort of PAE and needs to be cleared and re done
  17. Hi i use the celestron zoom 8 to24 dont use the 7 to 21 in celestron they dont focus well. bst 2x barlow dont go for celestron omni barlow its not good my eyepieces are celestron omni they are ok but not on a really fast telescope the celestron X cel are ment to be good But if i was to buy again i would go for the BST range You need to work out what your use able mag for your scope and not go over it seeing changes all the time so what works one day may not the next
  18. There was a really nice dobs for sale in the for sale section orion optics vx12l There is also a sw 200 dobs as well
  19. Hi i dont know about your scope but if the secondary mirror has a central screw and 3 smaller screw position around it you use centre screw so that mirror is centre in the focal tube of the focuser the mirror should look round not oval if you use card to block off behind it so you cant see main mirror it makes it easy to see secondary mirror once this is centre remove card use a collimation cap if you have one if not use the Cheshire to adjust the secondary mirror using the 3 small screws to adjust so you can see the 3 main mirror clips the same amount on each clip thats done now dont touch it any more Now adust the main mirror using the collimation screws so the dough nut is centre of the Cheshire then your done some fast scopes have a little off set i dont know if yours has but if you get it as close as possible and do a star test to check collimation Look at astrobaby guide on her site it will help
  20. Hi and welcome i had the skywatcher 150/750 a great scope still miss it its on the old eq3/2 tripod rock solid mount i did all the mods on mine before i sold it on . Flocked it inside fitted springs to the main mirror so collimation was easier made some wilcox rings so i didnt need to balance it in the mount every time as it will only fit in the one place in the rings these also let you spin the scope so eyepiece is always in a great position I had some really nice views from that scope your need some better eyepieces and barlow later on That was a great price for that mine did not have the polar scope and you cant get them for love or money it would cost more than you paided so you done really well The 3 little screws at the back just hold the cover plate on the back once removed you can get to the collimation screws and locking screws the grub screws are the collimation screws the bigger screws lock the mirror tight dont over tighten them As the guys have said already use astrobaby guide to collimation and your be spot on Had a closer look at photos the rings have a dove tail so some one has up graded the mount which is even better for you still make wilcoxs rings tho this lets you have the rings loose so telescope can spin but not go out of balance
