  2. Hi i never found collimation that hard also take your time dont rush .Dont make big changes a small change is easy to fix follow astrobaby guide to collimation so far collimated 114 , 150 , 200 . They all collimate the same just the 114 was a little harder to do secondary mirroras you need to get your hand in the tube . Glad you got a Cheshire i still feel this works better than the cheap lazer does

  5. You should be able to remove it completely take polar scope out so your not fighting the fittings in the mount then try and unscrew focuser if it does not send it back as a faulty one

Download synscanit app i know you dont have go to but it will show you how you polar scope should look at the time you are doing polar alginment
  8. The focus ring is the end part turn it not the whole scope to focus it

    Hello

Hi Scott yes i can hear it too . Welcome to the forum
  14. I think this is normal on that mount they are lite on the high spec mount and can get a polar scope that is lite for a bit more if you can send that one back or there is this its a add on https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=DChcSEwi9xvyysozsAhWMz-0KHdQ6CskYABAKGgJkZw&ohost=www.google.com&cid=CAESQOD2UhI9eV7vca8dl55aLIR8VVKuin-I5JakyZSKaEkM8rvamZQ5eJYfsh6IuHFLIYQm6vgH58dtlhIKuGeLDWA&sig=AOD64_3fmxvJUK3fd_QENu14lsdiGsx4Bw&ctype=5&q=&ved=2ahUKEwiHy_OysozsAhVrThUIHejTDHAQwg96BAgNEBs&adurl=
  15. Hi mate i have a OO VX8L i changed the focuser i have to use 50mm extension to focus for visual but i also had to move main mirror too. check the mirror mount on OO they have 2 screw holes on main mirror mount so you can move mirror up the tube towards secondary mirror it only moves it about 5 mm but makes a big difference to the focus
  16. Ok will keep an eye out and get the numbers this time Thanks for the info
  17. If you take cash with you and its no good then walk away But as PAUL said most look after there investments which astronomy equipment is realy
  18. It was a starlink one but didnt take a lot of notice of its number he has so many up there soon it will be all you see
  19. I was told that the 7 to 21 is not a good zoom to get the 8 to 24 is the better one my works well thats why they cost more no one gets the 7 to 21 i use my with a bst x2 barlow never has a problem with image always sharp focus
  20. Hi i had a x3 barlow with my first Telescope and was to much a x2 is better the eyepiece that come with most telescopes are not good you need to look for plossl eyepiece these are better optics i am new to this so will leave some that knows more to tell you what to get I do use the celestron zoom 8 to 24 and this works well on most Telescopes so may be worth a look at
  21. I use the celestron zoom on my 200/1200 orion optics VX8L and on my bresser 127 /1200 refractor i do get detail on Jupiter before i get to the high setting of the zoom eyepiece the zoom works well the 7 to 21 in celestron does not focus well this is why people buy the 8 to 24 FOV is good but image will darken as you hit high zoom but it not so bad you cant use max zoom If you get the zoom as you find what mag works best for seeing you can buy single eyepieces in that size as they come up secondhand
