    my mate who i sold my 14" to with a moonlight focuser on has no issues with inwards focus and it has two riser plates on. honestly when i used it with the 30mm ES on the moon to test how well it corrected against my SIPS i was shocked at how sharp it was on the edges. the craters on the moon when pushed to the edges of the EP where as sharp as in the middle . these are underrated. steve its shame your not coming to SGL i have all my mates gear in my shed , i could have brought it for you to try.

    You can but the material of eBay. its a nylon lycra blend. its stretches tight so no need for ribs or anything.

    you don't really need warm air to clear a secondary just needs air flow.

    I had a 4AH one cost me £60 from eBay. It powered 4 dew straps and a hair dryer for 6 hours in sub temperatures I really rate them

    tracer batteries from FLO are an excellent way to power dew heaters. Small and easy to use.

    id be interested in what lenses where good aswell. im off to france in october so hoping to capture some nice images whilst there with my 1200D

    also with the F4s you will need a coma corrector and as john and micheal said collimation at this F ratio is a little tricky even for the experienced astronomers.
