  4. I had a little success at one of my favorite spots at the moment. canon 5DMIII 16-35mm f4L IS USM
  5. @StargeezerTim i really like this. Love the wide field of view something you dont often see with this subject. you should be happy with that one pal.
  6. HOLY COW the short intro leaves the image right there as the pages opens! excellent
  7. mine arrived yesterday too cracking bit of kit. cant wait to use it.
  8. thank you, i think the stack milky way had turned out rather good. give's me guidance now just need to apply it in the field.
  9. excellent image. I agree with James i prefer the light processing in the original image. Do you use the HSL sliders in LR to do selective colour saturation so it doesn't apply it to the whole image?
  10. sorry Kat been busy and didnt get a notification for this. it looks like its doe a good job reducing the noise in the sky. can i ask if you could screen shot your DSS settings because when i tried to stack the cropped sky it just went all funny. i can live with a noisey foreground so im not too fussed on that at the moment i just want to be able to stack the milkyway
  11. Llyn brenig is rubbish now.much better places to go.
  12. yeah i'd send it back they dont even look like stars at the top middle of the frame. assuming this is wide open and on a tracked mount?
  13. got a better stitch on the 180 pano, just need a way to sort the gradient out.
  14. i have to agree with this, given how little clear and observable nights we get in the uk.
  15. try that link now, for some reason they must not have finished uploading
  16. this was shot at 35mm F4 , still unsure how to apply noise reduction effectively though
  17. if any one is willing to try and have a stack heres the RAWS. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/091g4tsmcrmrl6v/AAA6uEOzFnllTbH7z1wKQ1zca?dl=0
  18. @John Baker thanks for the advice I'm currently trying to stack my milky way shots i took, but its been so long since I've used DSS finding it difficult. I'm not keen on the nifty fifty ive just sold one the focus ring is utter garbage. i do use Nik but i haven't used it on any of these images. TBH john i was so excited i forgot about an image blend and just wanted to capture the MW. Live and learn aye. funny you should that you got cut off. I did too although i new when high tide was i arrived with just over an hour before high tide and it was covered. I had to wait a little longer than two hours though so i stayed for sun rise.
  19. i think I've found the problem there where some subs taken at different focal lengths mixed in. I took them out last night and tried to restack but DSS crashed oh how ive missed using DSS lol ? i will try again later. thanks to all who have helped so far
