  1. The conditions seemed to have deteriorated from the earlier Mars session when Venus was finally clear of the houses. Good to see Venus again but very little detail on show this time. Captured with my C9.25, Asi 290mm, UV filter and a X1.8 Barlow. 25000 frames SER FILE stacked in A/S3 and lightly sharpened with CS2.
  2. Early 3.45am alarm call for Mars, but for a change the seeing was reasonable and it was such a change not to be imaging at 15 degrees at the bottom of my garden! The conditions seemed fairly stable from the time i popped the camera in, until Mars disappeared behind the trees. Great to be reunited with the red planet and see some nice detail, especially after the sand storms of 2 years ago. Captured with my C9.25, Asi 224mc. ADC and a X1.8 Barlow. 240 second SER FILE stacked/drizzled (x1.5) in A/S3 and lightly sharpened with CS2. Pretty pleased with the result, wish i had known Phobos was close by, i might have tried a longer exposure to see if i could have seen it as well.
  3. Lovely set of images, some really nice details visible there. I have quite fond memories of spending many nights trying to get a decent image out of the Toucam Pro, then the SPC900n. But you are absolutely correct the new technology is amazing and I would hate to go back.
  4. Some really nice details visible there
  5. Lovely looking Mars image, well done
  6. You have still managed to tease some detail out, despite the conditions
  7. Very nice, Mars is going to be a popular target for the rest of this year.
  8. Always good to our dynamic solar system in action, first time I imaged Saturn in 2010 I think they were nearly edge on.
  9. Very nice, good to see the GRS and a shadow transit at the same time
  10. Not managed a proper observing session yet. Was massively distracted by Neowise, then I have been away for a while. Next opportunity though I would like to image Jupiter, Saturn, Mars and Venus.
  11. Looking at the weather thus morning I think they might pass us by 🙂 good to see the new activity nonetheless, quite large areas looking at your image.
