  1. so at 2 am this morning a group of morons in a car drove through my front garden, totalling the good lady's car and pushing mine of the drive and into the garden, before driving off again.. its either speed or alcohol, but probably both... unbelievable and it was cloudy too, complete toilet of an evening!

So the next course of action, 8" X 8" Oak posts every 4' across the garden, 5' in to the ground and to make them look nice 3" rope hung through them

  2. I say this camera can rattle of some frames in burst mode... How I ended up with nearly 200 in that space of time I'll never know... Time to see what I've got!?

Yes, i have an astromaster AZ mount that is just begging for a little frac to use on it, i like the look of the carbon 70mm on abs but its a bit steep

    3. Fozzie

      Fozzie

I figured that's the one you were looking at... I'm tempted by the magrez with flattener on abs but again.. bit much... couple of ikle 66mm on flee bay at the moment too

      Lots of clouds coming!

      Fozzie

No luck again... all packed up ready to go to my dark site and the baby monitor went up like a Christmas tree.. an hour and a bit later little Oli was all settled again and I called it a night! Just a sickness bug we think.. poor thing!

  12. Clear dark skys, uncountable amount of stars, mikyway as clear as i've seen it in a long time, and it was warm too... Just such a shame i was stuck in the cinima watching gravity... finally paid my dues for ordering 2 Es82 instead of one.. im sure the weather report was checked before it was booked too.... why i oughta!!!

      JessicaFaye

O dear!! I'd be seriously mad!!

    2. ronin

      ronin

You knew you were in trouble when you ordered 2. Sounds like OH knows how to get revenge. Hope the additional eyepiece works well, it would be the final irony if it wasn't as good as expected. Get them one at a time, it saves a lot of hassle.

    3. Fozzie

      Fozzie

To be honest the 11mm ES82 is a fantastic EP and the 4.7mm wasn't too far behind.. I've had worse punishment in my life than a meal and a film... still felt like i'd been grounded though which im sure shouldn't happen when your 33!

And to be fair.. great film in 3d too.. 4/5 maybe even 4.5...

  13. As stated the Evostar 90 was delivered, all be it for a birthday as opposed to christmas, to my brother and his little lad yesterday.. Much merryment was had and a few quick looks at the moon which sealed the deal, they are hooked. Everyone (or so i thought) was delighted, on the way home in the car, personally full of stidsfaction from a selfless act i got the "don't think i don't know what your doing... whens the new scope turning up?" I mean now.... really... would i.... Me..

Come clean: Are you expecting one??

    3. Fozzie

      Fozzie

I'm joining the 4" frac club, probably a Tal.. but considering the TS102 F11.. Away in a few weeks to so will be ordering for delivery on my return..

I didn't think i'd been that obvious! Ha well, like she said... she worries more when i'm quiet about my astro stuff.

  14. Bit of a school boy error... Told the "bank manager" it was just the one ES82 i'd ordered... she wants to know why there are two boxes, and she's not buying the "ones for the lenses and one for the barrel, as you have to assemble them yourself" line! Oooooops my bad.

    1. Naemeth

      Naemeth

      Half price sale?

    2. ronin

      ronin

So you have tried to sneak in 2 when you said 1, and have now insulted the bank managers intelligence. Best analysis: You're dead. :-)

    3. Fozzie

      Fozzie

It's cost me a meal out on Friday.... I'm assuming I'm paying... Should have ordered 3 ;-)

      xtreemchaos

3.30am that's hardcore and dedication mate, I had a few hours from 8pm till about 10.30pm trying my new little newt, bagged the flame and o-neb, but boy it was cold and I had double thermals on. I look forward to your pics of the box of frogs.  charl.

    2. Fozzie

      Fozzie

Thanks Charl, I was called mad at the time.. but really when do you get the opportunity working 7 till 7, with a youngster and the like.. I've got PiPP working through the first 900 frames for me tonight, then im going to try a mosaic from 2 panes around 400 each... then I took some avi of Clavius... see what I get out of it!

  17. First time I've loaded the 200p on to the skytee2.. so far it's at least as good as the eq5, just easier to use.. I'm happy with this set up I think..

    1. nightfisher

      nightfisher

I found this set up had way to much vibration at the eyepiece, hope it works better for you
