  1. I remember it well, a great day including a look at WL through your scope, only downside I was late arriving and missed my breakfast roll 😂 Dave
  2. Excellent Bob, well done, hope you haven't jinxed it 😂 Dave
  3. Customer support via email and phone is fine what lets them down is the production staff. I've had a Quark returned to me as OK from Daystar which wouldn't even work to the point of the tuning LED turning green, they didn't even need to look at the Sun to discover this before despatch so not a lot of faith in their QC, perhaps they can't get the staff. Dave
  4. Great news Chris well deserved 👍 Dave
  5. JTD Dual Rig Telescope Alignment Saddle | First Light Optics Or you could just make your own. Dave
  6. Excellent images . cloud here. Dave
  7. Blimey Jake thought you'd left us, good to see you back. Dave
  8. Sounds about right, roughly an hour and a half between orbits, brighter in summer. Dave
  9. Not used it at all in Alt Az Mark, the only reason for the counter weight is to balance it in Alt AZ, I made a counterweight bar and a couple of stainless steel weights for mine as the Rainbow one is a bit overpriced, also made a pier extension for the same reason. Dave
  10. Tried that I think, doesn't have any effect and histogram has disappeared to the left. Will send it to you Michael thanks. This is the saved image. Can't see a DDP setting, these are about 40 x 60 second OSC images taken for a comet animation, all I'm trying to do is open them in APP without any processing and cycle through them to check them, this is a simple process in all the other processing software I have but can't get APP to do it. Dave
  11. I purchased APP a while ago and had a couple of attempts to use it but can't get images to appear on screen for checking / processing, only the very brightest stars appear an no fiddling with the stretching helps. Followed a couple of YT tutorials to no avail. This is the same image taken with Atik 4000OSC opened in various programs just colour converted in Affinity Dave Affinity Atik CCD Stack MAXIM And finally APP it is there you can just about see the brightest star😄 Dave
  12. I don't think so I've had a few Quarks since they were first introduced and they have developed various faults over time, with the latest one just returned from Daystar the tuner stopped working after about 18 months. I keep mine in a foam lined flight case with the other solar imaging bits and pieces. Dave
  13. Excellent Victor, fingers crossed it continues to perform. Dave
  14. Don't think it will work unless it's an EQ mount driven on both axes which it needs to polar align, plate solve etc. Dave
  15. Shouldn't be a problem. Dave
  16. I think he's getting past that, just can't get it to connect to WiFi. Dave
  17. I use a 24ah Tracer LifPo battery to power the whole rig. Dave
  18. There are others like Crux but not any cheaper. Dave
  19. Shouldn't be hard to convert just replace the Canon dummy battery with a Nikon one. Dave
  20. Hi Emanuel, I've used my Canon 60Da with the ASIAIR with a little buck voltage converter I made, a simple DIY project if you're into that sort of thing or there may be a power supply for your camera designed to plug into a car gigarette lighter socket if you do a search. The Ice Hole power box looks a bit overkill to me. The ASIAIR works well with DSLR and all other stuff ZWO, it's worth buying the ZWO motor focuser as the autofocus works really nicely. Dave
  21. I run my RST-135, ASIAIR Pro, guide and main camera, dew heaters etc all from a 24ah Tracer LifPo battery, extremely portable, I can carry the mount in one hand and the battery in the other. Don't see the point of introducing a QHY camera into the mix as the ASIAIR wont recognise it so you'll have to use a laptop just to run guiding. Dave
  22. Have you downloaded the manual / ZWO_ASIAIR_PRO_User_Manual.pdf Not that it's very helpful when it comes to connecting to WiFi 😄
  23. This is how it shows up on my iPad in list of available networks then just click on it and it replaces the home network at the top. Sounds more complicated on Android. Dave
  24. Green card light only flickers while it's loading then should have the power and WiFi LEDs on. Dave
  25. After this leave it a few seconds then the ASIAIR WiFi should show up on your device. Dave
