  1. Looks to be abandoned until Monday as they don't normally launch at weekends. Dave
  2. There were some earlier in the week but they're right on the cusp of disappearing round the west edge now. There are a few solar monitoring sites. Dave Solar data view select (nso.edu) https://www.raben.com/maps/
  3. Starship 15 may launch today. Dave LIVE: Starship SN15 Test Flight - YouTube
  4. Roads closed etc but not much happening ATM Dave LIVE: Starship SN15 Test Flight - YouTube
  5. Yeah if I try to update with iPad the update circle just goes around and around for a while then says " update failed " update on iPhone is all done and dusted in no time. Dave
  6. I think the design is more for imaging on a wedge which eliminates most of the problem except at high dec. Light path through a diagonal is quite long so may not help. Dave Dave
  7. There is a battery powered manual controller for the Moonlite, I use one on my Lunt LS60DS Dave
  8. Many / most ? motor focusers have a simple manual app for focusing on a laptop and some, like the SharpSky come with a manual controller. Dave
  9. Mine is weird in that it fails to update using the iPad that I use for imaging etc with it but it updates happily using iPhone Dave
  10. You may be better off with the "standard" .63 flattener / reducer, they come up second hand quite regularly, the .33 is pretty obsolete and was introduced when sensors were very small. Dave
  11. Judging from past experience, not until a few others have tried it 😄 Dave
  12. Hi Paul mate, so sorry to hear about your ongoing problems makes me feel guilty for being fit. Great son you have there all mine does is complain about how much money I spend on astro' gear 😂 ATB Dave
  13. Got something similar the other night but not sure if it's worth the effort of processing. Dave
  14. Looking good Charl, shows the advantage of being indoors this weather, far too windy here. Dave
  15. Try looking through bin's (the right way round) while driving on a crowded motorway, really scary, as a passenger of course 😂 Dave
  16. The ASIAIR Pro that I use is based on the RPi3 and the wireless connection is pretty useless, if I connect to my iPad then slew the scope so that the ASIAIR is on the opposite side of the scope tube it looses connection. The WiFi aerial on the the RPi is a little bit of printed circuit and once in the metal Asiair case it kills it, there are tutorials on YT on how to fit an external aerial or some folk plug a USB extender into the RPi. Dave
  17. Setting Artemis Capture running, popping back after an hour and discovering not clicked autosave, turning subframe on in Maxim to focus and forgetting to untick it so ending up with an hour or so little tiny pictures of one nicely focused star, forgetting the clocks have changed etc etc etc. Dave
  18. Never used EQMOD but there are all sorts of settings in it that need to be right I believe. Dave
  19. Won't stop it moving if it'd far out it will either do half a dozen big steps or lots of small steps. Dave
  20. A bit out of focus doesn't stop PHD calibrating and guiding so wouldn't worry about that. There is a manual move setting in PHD so you can see if the commands are getting through, are you using ST4 or pulse guiding ? Dave
