  3. This from Astronomy tools, using .63 reducer and binning gets somewhere near a good sampling rate but as above given the FOV of your scope your current camera is fine. Dave
  4. You need something with decent sized pixels to achieve a reasonable image scale, images can be binned although it works better with mono cameras. I use an Atik 314L that has 6.4um pixels and bin those with 10"SCT. At the top of this page under resources there is a calculator where you can enter your scope and camera to see what image scale it will give, to see if it's under / over sampled. Dave

Very nice Adam, haven't really got to use my ZWO2600MC a lot, did try it on Caroles SW120 the other night in poor moonlit conditions and captured a few subs on the Dragons but keep getting distracted by comets and super novas 😂 Muddled my way through APP processing Dragons, still not got the hang of it.   9. Atmospheric effect normal for low planets, folk use an ADC to try to reduce it. Dave
  10. Should be near enough to achieve focus then you can adjust if stars are misshapen at the edges of the image. Dave

  12. If you're planning on attaching it to the scope rings you'll something with the right hole spacing or a suitable bar to attach it to. Dave

  14. Doesn't that alter the back focus ? I think it's designed for DSLR 55mm back focus. Dave
  15. The official ZWO manual doesn't appear to have been updated since the original, so no new introductions included. Dave
  16. The 1.8mm sets the normal back focus for a DSLR at around 55mm for Canon with T ring, so add up your accessories and subtract them from 55mm and adjust accordingly not forgetting to account for the 1.8mm Dave
  17. Have you tried starting in different positions ? ie camera higher than the weight to see if it affects the time between issues. No harm in giving it a little helping push in the right direction to see if it helps put it back on track. Dave

  20. I've had one for a few months and would highly recommend it, had a couple of glitches but nothing to worry about. I use it with all ZWO gear and iPad. Everything powered with a 24ah Tracer LiFpo battery including mount powered separately from the battery ie not from the ASIAIR. Just fire up the ASIAIR, connect iPad to ASIAIR hotspot, connect cameras and mount, calibrate guider, autofocus scope, GoTo target from list , platesolves and centres target and off you go. Dave
  21. If I want to return to the same centre spot I plate solve it and save it as a user object with a name so I can recall it any time in the future, have to keep the camera orientation the same. Dave
  22. I also got light leaks on flats using the Badder filter draw, ended up putting the scope in a cardboard box to do them otherwise have to do them at night. Dave
  23. Took some images of Cas SN earlier but so many stars i couldn't see it 😂 Dave
  24. Just been looking / imaging Cas SN and comet 2017 Panstarrs, may have a look at SN in NGC7814 shortly as it's easy to spot being in a galaxy. Dave
