  1. Very good idea, if it refuses to work with more than one device it could be faulty especially if it doesn't beep. I had a problem with mine when it was new and FLO offered to replace it but I managed to sort it ( operator error ) 😄 Dave
  2. Much better to have it inserted and save to it otherwise it will save to the SD card and you don't want to be removing that to download images as it's a bit delicate. Dave
  3. Seem to remember some guy getting banned from CN for upsetting OPT 😄 Dave
  4. Make sure WiFi is turned on in settings on your phone, the WiFi signal is pretty poor on the Asiair, I use an iPad and if I move it more than a couple of yards from the Asiair it loses the signal, also drops signal if phone decides to go to sleep. Dave
  5. SD card should be OK unless you've unplugged it / plugged it in while the Asair Pro was on. Download Win32diskImager and see if it will copy the card. Dave
  6. Don't think it works on laptops, only phones and pads / tablets. Dave
  7. Watch this Dave ZWO ASI Air Tutorial: Operating System Back-up and Restore Using Windows - YouTube
  8. You're not inserting the SD card after switching on are you ? Have you got WiFi on on your phone ? So turn on ASIAIR it should beep after a bit and have red LEDs on it is then discoverable by your phone when you start the Asiair app and follow instructions. The first thing you should do is make a backup of the 35GB SD card otherwise if it gets corrupted you'll lose you activation key an have to get onto ZWO for a new one which will be a right rigmarol. Dave
  9. Thanks for those Martin, it's nice to see whats up there other than grey clouds. Dave
  10. Haven't even managed to image it yet where it's buried in light pollution 😧 Dave
  11. If I can't see the target I sync on a nearby bright star then GoTo the target usually works ok. Dave
  12. I generally don't bother with star aligning if I'm only imaging a single target, just GoTo target and sync on it then run PHD on a suitable star or you can let PHD pick one. Dave
  13. Sorry misread your post, Polar align first then if you're imaging something GoTo that, centre it with hand control and sync on it, same as one star align, then connect ASI120 to PHD and set it looping using 3 or 4 second exposures. Choose a guide star and click on it and wait for it to calibrate when it should start guiding. Dave
  14. Are you using the ASIAIR polar aligning routine ? Dave
  15. Was considering buying a Prusa 3D printer as all the parts are available separately maybe I should buy a few bits at a time 😂 Dave
  16. Somethings burning, like don't go near a firework after its lit 😄 Dave
  17. Looks like they've got a problem. Dave
  18. Or maybe not launching. Dave
  19. SN15 may have another go at launching later today, hope it's not as windy there. Dave
  20. Nice one Bob, I must make an effort to sort my time lapse, so much passing cloud it's taking a lot of time trying to save enough frames to make it worthwhile. Dave
  21. Did a time lapse of R4 ATLAS the other night but haven't got around to processing it yet. Dave
