There exists a free program called STELLARIUM which you can easily go and is a superb planetarium that will help you learn the night sky in no time. Also helps you work out what that 'strange' light is over there, or when objects are going to appear from where you are.

By the way if you would like a planisphere don't buy one ( they are almost a tenner at the mo) Just download the templates and make your own, dead easy !
