Hello Everyone,

For Christmas I received a Skywatcher Explorer 200P and an EQ5 mount, I am very pleased with both :eek:

I am slowly learning the sky using 'turn left at orion' and Stellarium, I have always been interested in astronomy but didn't have the opportunity to take it any further until now. I'm getting on well but there are always clouds! :)

Hi Airglow,

Welcome from a fellow newbie.

I was hoping for clear skies tonight and they promised me them but at the moment it doesn't look likely. Does not bode well for next week and the BBC's Stargazing Live. Inevitable I suppose, first of it's kind by the Beeb and it will surely put many people off!

Stop it Jimmy. Gotta be positive! :eek:

I started out with "Turn Left at Orion" as well and Stellarium is a wonderful program. I'm new on Stargazers lounge myself. I have been able to blog but don't seem to have understood how to start my own notice like this one.
