The tired astronomer

Hello all star gazers, I've been meaning to join for a while now and at last have done so, so hope to meet a lot more like minded people here. I've had my 200mm meade dobsonian for nearly two years and am getting to see a lot of good views, though at 38 with four young kids in tow and a hard working job I usually have match sticks to hold my eyes open when scanning the heavens for somthing I have not yet seen or just the usual favourites. I live in the flat fens of east anglia about 20 miles from Cambridge in the countryside so we can get some good viewing nights in all directions, though there is still some light pollution out here even. I'm not yet into taking photos at the moment just observing and wondering, I still can't get over how big the universe is and how far away other galaxys are,:( I don't think I ever will which is why I never hardly say no to a clear night. :(
