Name here is Doug and have been into astronomy off and on for many years. I've just started astro-imaging about 2 years ago. My primary equipment is a 8" LX-90 and a WO 80 mm SD refractor. I started out with a Atik 2HS camera. But now do most of my imaging with a Canon XT- DSLR.

Hi to all, glad to be here.

Thanks very much for the warm welcome. I'll post a few images as Rog has suggested. I guess you can refer to me now as a "Seasoned Newbie". :) I have a small collection of pics which I've added to over the past winter and spring. Some are not too bad, but some are not near as good as what I've seen from the talent on various forums. But, after all....It's a hobby....

and I'll share what little I've learned. We all know it's a steep learning curve to success.

Thank you again for allowing me to join this forum.

Welcome Doug. Nice images.

I've got similar kit to you except I'm still using the Atik 2HS. Do you have the WO scope piggybacked on the LX90 and if so do you use any counterweights? Have an ED80 which I'm considering mounting on my nextar 8"
