Phil Fargaze
Hi, you have a great forum going on here. I am very much a visual astronomer, although I do struggle with bad light pollution seeing as I live in a London borough. I Have an Orion XT10 Intelliscope housed in a roll off roof shed. I attempt to do some sketches sometimes but my artistic skills have plenty of room for improvement! I plan to do a bit of camping this summer to find some dark skies, Sussex sounds like a good idea. I have been to the Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival three times so far and usually camp for two nights. Speak to you all soon.
