Hi folks thank you for letting me join this forum, i'm fairly new to stargazing but looking forward to seeing some exciting stuff and be part of this community.  My setup is an eq6r pro and 8"edge hd. Hoping to see planets and nebula and maybe get into astro photography, fingers crossed.

Hi, Morras, and welcome to SGL.

You should get some great sights through that scope. With an appropriate camera it should also be great for images of the moon and planets (although Jupiter and Saturn are not best placed for UK observers atm). For imaging DSOs (clusters, nebulae, galaxies) you may find it a little 'slow'. If AP is the direction you wish to go, it is worth getting a copy of this book.

Enjoy the journey.
