Nice solution, but unfortunatelly, I have no tools and no place for metalworks...
I've been thinking about a simple iron plate, but if mount will move so hardly from the south side (the bottom bolt)...
I afraid, one day, I will end up with such a result as @Singlin had... or my thread will get stripped again.

NEQ6 altitude adjusment is a pain... Specially pushing from South... No wonder, my thread was stripped...
I think to regreese the main bolt of the wedge or something... And probably will buy the EQ rail. £130 for a little peace of metal... :(

Fear not Roland, new insert is being made should work nicely with the rail mod.

Dave

As far as I managed to find on the web, - overtigtened Wedge is a usuall problem on NEQ6.
I think, at first I will loosen it a bit before buying the rail.

@Gina
I noticed you were fighting with NEQ6 altitude adjustment also.

I think of removing the NEQ6 plastic angle cap and loosen the Allen grub screws.

Maybe - will swap them to M5 Handle Screws, if it makes any difference.

Can you please advise if it's worth spending time on it?

P.S. on another hand... I will do it anyway... as I think I have no choise at the moment...

He's going to have a go at the weekend, he likes messing around making stuff.

Dave

Thank you both!! :)

On another hand, I hope, -  I hope I will Not need it ... However, at the moment, I think its 50/50...
If the mount will remain so stiff, my threaded insert will not survive for long...
P.S.

I hope I will find a proper allen key in my toolbox today...
