AR2673 WL - Yowsers (Reprocessed)

Cloudy here all day, until half an hour ago and there was the tiniest of sucker holes, there was still haze and thin stuff but definitely doable. The beauty of the little Mak is that the whole setup on an EQ3 is grab and go. Plonk the mount down outside and you're set. It was already setup with a 3x Barlow.

Yes it did.

I tweaked focus, grabbed 2200 frames through the haze and then Sol was gone.

Pipp>Registax>IMPPG. 20% of 2200 frames stacked. Poor seeing, haze. BUT worth it for this surprise monster.

I will be fine with the 127, guess i am still smarting from Friday nights failed session, need to think about a MK 2 electric focuser for the 127, now where did i put that skywatcher battery focuser motor?

Quick reprocess which has sharpened up some of the finer structure a little. I had Pipp pick the best 400 frames rather than Registax/450.

Are you using a continuum filter or is this just the film?

What are you mounting the little Mak on?

Just the film Alan. Mounting it on my trusty old rickety eq3

Great images. I find I get a touch more detail if I use AutoStakkert rather than Registax. Might be worth a go

I ran it through Pipp  for quality a few more times for V3 - 1 on total brightness to strip out frames with cloud then to pair it down to 300 on quality. Stacked in AS!2.

Think it does have a little more detail this time.
