I agree with Sara and your third version has revealed more contrast and relief within the nebula and its pillars yet retained the translucent nature.

You can see the depth of field improve with each version becoming slightly more 3d like with respect to the bok globules feeling in front of the main gas.  Look forward to the Sii being added think this will make it a cracking image.

I now have the SII - jings it was really faint.  I'll see what I can do.
