Thick proms (90 mm)

After many weeks I could finally capture something on Monday. Good seeing, but the Sun was only at 22 degrees when I got started. 90 mm refractor + Lunt 50 etalon, PGR Chameleon 3 mono (ICX445), processed with Stackistry and ImPPG.

 

 

Stackistry's automatic processing isn't yet tuned for prominences, so the animations were stacked with AviStack 2.

Try the processing tutorial. Additionally, feel free to start a thread with raw 16-bit TIFF stack(s) posted (or just send them to me), I can process them and provide the ImPPG settings files.

Fantastic prom images particularly the filaprom image and the animations. Always interesting to see how dynamic the sun can be in a short period of time.
