Jupiter shadow transit 7th april-15

Again reasonable seeing but trans not as good as the 5th & variable amounts of cloud were an issue, managed a few rgb runs thoe these being the best of them, Ganymede top right & io shadow!

I like how you can really see the shadow is elongated when on the edge. Really gives an additional sense of sphericalness (doesn't seem to be a real word) to Jupiter.

Now that its warming up in my area of the world, I will once again be attempting astrophotography and hoping to achieve something close to what you've captured...wont be easy.

Superb images Simon!! Great detail on Jupiter and Ganymede. As has been said earlier love the elongated shadow emphasising the angles - really nice.
