Jupiter Feb 1st & 2nd

Reasonable seeing & good trans before midnight but deteriorated after, having to come down from f40 to see any surface detail at all, but  pleased to have caught the io transit, it looked a bad avi but scrubbed up well in processing, 1st image taken at f40 the others at f30! I think there may be some better data from earlier on so got to go through them when ive got more time!

Nice work Simon. Good to see you get some nicely detailed images in the bag at last as I know you have been struggling with the poor conditions like most of us. Hopefully this is a turning point for better things to come during February.

Has to be one of the best transit images ive seen. I also love the way Io stands out against the blackness of the background and the sharpness of it.
