Hi i am looking for some information on the SkyWatcher AZ-EQ6 GT and found this forum 'site' i just bought one and mine has a little play in the work gear look for any techincal data and or FAQ on how to fix this.

I have been into Astronomy on and off since i was 12 in the last ten years i have got back into it in a much larger way, i am 48 now own a Observator 2.4m a skywatch 10' newtonian and the above mount, sell my Celestron 8" Ultima and i have a Meade 10" lx200 along with the LX200 goto update. I've settled with the newtonian and will not be updating for some time to anything large, I'm in a mildy light poluted area

Look forward to any help pointing me towards a doc on the mount and look forward to finding a star camp local to me.

Hi Zap, Welcome to the lounge. I believe that if you download Stellarium and enter your coordinates then you will get a localised, interactive star map. I'm fairly certain it will work in Australia.
