I'm a new member around here but have been fascinated by astronomy for as long as i can remember. In order to fulfill some long held ambitions I'm hoping to learn more about using a telescope (bought my first one at Astrofest at the weekend) and to try my hand at astrophotography.

What scope you getting ?

A Celestron 127 which I'm looking forward to learning how to use. Just need to find me a good spot without too much light pollution which can be a bit tricky in London.

Congrats on getting your new kit, but if you're worried about light pollution you can get a LP filter which does help to darken the sky a bit. 

I hope you have many hours of happy Stagazing and enjoy your Astro journey.
