Hi there

I got my first scope, a Jessops1100-102, Dec 2012. Now acquired a Skywatcher 250 Flextube. Iam looking for any pointers from those with experience and also anyone who upgraded the flex tube mount and/or has a spare mount as the 250 I have does not have the mount. Or does anyone have a cutting pattern or measurements to allow me to build it?

Hi mark, check out the Scottish Astronomers forum also, lots of stargazers round where you live with regular meet ups at various locations in the central belt

As David above said, check out the Central Scotland Observers Group (scottishastronomers dot com) or just google CSOG, 

There are a few threads on here about building your own Dobsonian base for your scope, I built one for my old scope - now sold - and the dimensions depends on how you are attaching it to the mount, I used scope rings, dovetails and wooden bearings to attach it to the base but I'm sure your flextube may attach differently.

I made a mount for a 250PX flextube a while back.  Details here: http://www.tanstaafl.co.uk/2012/08/my-10-dobsonian-build/

No listed dimensions I'm afraid as I largely made it up as I went along.  I strongly recommend something like 18" ply for the ground board and base though.
