Hi from Rochester, NY

Glad to find this group.

I have alway's LOVED looking at objects in the night sky.  Tracking International Space station, getting up in the middle of the night to see a meteor shower at it's peak, learning constellations, spotting Andromeda Galaxy on a clear night..... and just looking up in pure amazement at what is out there.

Just ordered Nikon Aculon 10x50 Binoculars to take the next step to ponder our universe.

It's really cold here in Rochester, but I would gladly freeze my fingers off for just  glimpse of some far away world.

Looking forward to learning and sharing with you.

Hi Tom and welcome to the forum. If you haven't done so already, you might want to consider taking a look at this website for some mounting options for your new binoculars ideas along with a suggested monthly target list of objects that can be found using modest sized equipment. In addition, a free piece of planetarium software called Stellarium might also prove useful in locating objects in the night sky as well as learning where all the constellations are etc.

Clear skies for now and hope you enjoy the forum

James
