Just to say hello to all from the east of England.

After many years of being interested in astronomy I have finally taken the step, purchased a newt reflector on an EQ, star maps and books/ guides to get me started; although it seems inevitable that I will have some future questions regarding the EQ mount!

Great to have found a good and helpful community  :smiley:

Hello and welcome! Yeah, the EQ mount seems really odd at first but when the penny drops you'll wonder why you ever struggled with it. That's what happened to me, anyway.

Hi Phil welcome to the lounge,

if you find any problems using your mount just post

your question in the mounts section, stating which

mount it is, and what you need to know.
